Terrible service!!!
DESCRIPTION: My past two trips to the Siam House were among the worst of all my dining experiences. A year ago, in the summer, my friends and I went there. The waitress did not even utter a word of apology. I revisited the place this past Sunday. The waiter did not bother to ask about our orders after 20 minutes since we came in, even if the restaurant is two-thirds empty (and there were about 6 or 7 tables of guests). He walked past our table at least three times without even bothering to take a drink order. So my friend and I simply got up and left. We usually tip at least 20% for waiters who bother to take orders. I think it is best to spend the money somewhere else!

DESCRIPTION: I've given Siam many chances, and after so many, we've given up. They can be fine (never fantastic) but then they can be appallingly bad. The food on the buffet is often greasy and has been sitting out for a long time (witness the thick film and dried-out noodles and veggies on the tops of each selection). I like the idea of this place and I want really badly to like it, but I think they should do a better job with the buffet--fresher items, etc.

Great Thai food
DESCRIPTION: The only place like it in the Muncie area. I love the food, and the service is good. Dishes can be prepared custom in regard to how spicy.

Busy Busy Place
DESCRIPTION: I would suggest that you get there early or make reservations. This was my first time for this type of dinning. The Tibetan Tea was different (buttered and salted). Dumplings made up most menu and where a little oily for myself. I would dine here again.

Best Food in Town!
DESCRIPTION: I eat at Little Tibet at least 3 times a month. Before one morsel of food is on the table, I'm already enjoying myself -- the atmosphere is cozy, the people are friendly, and who can be anything but happy when looking at photos of Tibet and the Dalai Lama? The food is excellent! When I need comfort food, I order the Kham Amdo Thukpa. The thick noodles in this "stew" are the best part of the whole thing! The mo-mos are also amazing -- I prefer the beef mo-mos, but the chura mo-mos (cheese) are also delicious. Beware -- mo-mos are heavy and filling... and messy! While I don't care for Tibetan Butter Tea, some people take right to it. I usually order Coke or jasmine tea. And a mango lassi after dinner (or lunch) is the perfect way to end the meal. I've lived in Bloomington for over 7 years and I haven't found a restaurant that even comes close to Little Tibet!

Charming and wholesome
DESCRIPTION: Delicious and filling food spiced to your request, served in a comfortable and eclectic atmosphere that feels very homey, like a backpacker haven in Nepal on the inside and a low-key high-end granola yuppie restaurant on the outside, especially in the summer when the little white lights are on and the goldfish pond is going. Luscious dinner outside in the summer, surrounded by the scent of jasmine and spices - perfect date restaurant for the budget-minded cosmopolitan Romeo who wants to show that he's not some yoik who takes girls to Chili's. Sometimes the service is bad (from cold and distant to outright rude [...]), but if you bring good company you won't miss a thing.

Very friendly and comfortable
DESCRIPTION: I found that the wait staff was extremely polite, something that always makes the food taste better. I have never had a bad meal and sitting outside is always very relaxing. Another plus, they cater to local students by offering healthy, filling meals at resonable prices. Definitely one of the best places in Bloomington!

Always satisfied
DESCRIPTION: You will find very few places in the U.S serving this kind of food. The atmosphere is intimate and the walls are cluttered with Tibetan posters and other memorabilia. Despite the humble surroundings, the food is divine. I've never had better salad dressing anywhere (I've even dined outside in the restaurant's garden in the rain just to have the house salad dressing). The chura momo (dumplings with swiss cheese and onions) is a dish that I wake up craving at night. Dine outside when the weather is pleasant.

Poor Service
DESCRIPTION: I've eaten in this restaurant several times and the food is excellent - very fresh. The service however is really poor. My friend ordered a dish of thin noodles and they brought the wrong dish out (thick noodles). When my friend politely pointed this out to the waitress, she was screamed at by the waitress and forced to eat the thick noodles!! In years of eating in restaurants I have never been treated like this anywhere.

Best in Bloomington
DESCRIPTION: I highly suggest Esan Thai, and living in Bloomington, I've eaten there many times. While I don't find their decor all that interesting, I have never had poor service there, and I have never been disappointed in the food. It is one of the rare restaurants that I've been to, anywhere, that actually delivers spicy when I ask for spicy--the hottest at Esan is "thai hot", and it's extremely well-done and very enjoyable if that's what you like (I do). I have NEVER seen a waitress at Esan yell at anyone, I have NEVER experienced anything but a very tasty, very reasonably priced meal at this restaurant. Go. Have some Tom Kha soup and Pad Thai (order it Thai Hot!), but have some kleenex in your pocket.
