"Pheasant Pate" from Bakus Tapas & Wine Bar, Durham, NC
2 Pheasants, dressed Bacon strips 2 tb Onions, grated 1 Egg, hard cooked 1/4 c Butter, melted 1/4 c Sour cream Salt to taste Pepper to taste Preheat oven to 350oF. Sprinkle salt and pepper on outsides of birds. If they have been skinned, place bacon strips over them. Bake in a covered roasting pan in 1/2 inch of water for 1 to 1 1/2 hours. You want the meat to fall from the bones. Cool: remove all meat and put through the fine blade of a meat grinder or use metal blade of food processor to mince finely. Add 1 tablespoon grated onion, egg and butter. Mix in sour cream to thoroughly moisten mixture and make it spreadable. Add salt and pepper; mix well and pack in tightly closed jars and refrigerate or freeze.

Mediterranean restaurant is definitely worth a visit
DESCRIPTION: We really enjoyed everything about Cafe Zito. The menu had a lot of surprises on it. I ate the freshest Red Snapper, it was prepared beautifully. My husband had stuffed calamari, something I had never heard of before. It was delicious. Our waiter was very friendly and accomidating, he was well versed on all the Mediterranean wines they have. And the owners are right there in the restaurant, one is the chef. He came out to speak with us and tell us more about the food and the restaurant. Lots of personal attention. We will definitely be going back!

Pasquale's is Awesome!
DESCRIPTION: This is hands down the best restaurant in Waynesville. The food is awesome. The specials from the grill during the summer are incredible. I love to sit outside in the evenings in listen to music and smell the food on the grill. The waitresses are attentive, and if you're lucky the owner (really nice guy) might come over and chat with you. Highly recommend it!
