Wonderful Experience
DESCRIPTION: The restaurant was very cozy, romantically lit with soft music playing in the background. The wait staff was fantastic - prompt, quick to refill drinks and answered our questions (we even found out that our picture might be in Gourmet Magazine in May!) The food was WONDERFUL.

DESCRIPTION: My dinning experience at The Old Post Office was an incredible experience. I had been told it was good. It surpassed all my expectations. Who expected such a superior restaurant in such a rural area? One of the best restaurants anywhere in the country in my oppinion.

The Old Post Office Is Great!
DESCRIPTION: The Old Post Office IS Great! I grew up in Edisto, SC and have been there many times! A favorite of mine is the Shrimp and Grits and of course the salads are amazing! David Greset owns it well I'm not sure how to spell his name!

What happened to the lowcountry charm
DESCRIPTION: I have eaten at this restaurant several times over the past few years and each time the quality and value just seems to slide away like the morning tide. The fine sandy beach has turned into smelly pluff mud. I like my shrimp pink and tender, not frozen and icy.....

DESCRIPTION: Grown up in this area. I now live in Charleston, where there are many fabulous restaraunts. One things will always remain the same-OPO. Old Post Office is always incredible, right down to the charm. It is my favorite ever!!!!

Lacking Soul Except at Special Functions
DESCRIPTION: As far as ordering off the regular menu at Dorothy and Leeroy's I do not recommend. This restaurant gives people the wrong idea of what soul food tastes like. You can tell the collard greens are not fresh. And the mac and cheese taste like it came out the box. The fried fish you can tell is frozen. However, if you do have a chance to attend a function in the hall the food is much better. If you are used to soul food this is not your momma's - I would pass!

Best Place I Ever Ate At
DESCRIPTION: Whenever I eat at a restaurant the food does not mirror the price, but this place does. It is the best restaurant I ever ate at and I reccomend it to everyone I meet. Me and my family are going to eat there this summer. What is up with the corn bread? So sweet and soft.

Fun One Night Stand
DESCRIPTION: Came here on a Monday night and were wowed by the regular Monday band, One Night Stand. High energy music to suit a high energy bar. On the downside, the place was pretty smoky, and not all that clean (sticky tabletops). This was more than offset by the fun atmosphere, great music and good beer selection. We stayed until just before the last metro. The cover charge was a very reasonable $3, which we augmented when a jug was being handed around for contributions to the band. Since we didn't order any food, I can't comment on it. The menu did look tempting, though.

DESCRIPTION: Whenever I'm in DC on business I try to have at least one dinner at Madam's. The food isn't gourmet, but its down home and plentiful. After days of conference lunches I re-ground myself with the meatloaf, green beans and potatoes.

Cheap comfort food
DESCRIPTION: Bob Evans is a decent, cheap, reliable restaurant for when you want "down-home" comfort food: meatloaf, hot chocolate, biscuits with sausage gravy, a cup of coffee, a slice of pie. Nothing fancy, it's just plain, American and reliable. The waitstaff is friendly enough, but I've often had to wait for a free refill on a beverage like tea, water or hot chocolate. The prices are very good. The country-style decor isn't to my taste, but the noise level is usually quite low. Sunday morning-midday seems to be their busiest time, when you can expect to wait 20 or 30 minutes for a table.

Worst Experience I ever Had
DESCRIPTION: Had to wait to be seated. Staff's clothes were dirty as if never been washed. Tables, floors, and lighting fixtures were also dirty. Paper found in hushpuppies and cole slaw was brown in color. Never made it to main meal. Could not get a manager to come and talk to us, our waitress said that she was busy on the phone with her boyfriend and would not listen to them. Restrooms were very dirty and had sour odor to it. Husband noticed urine stains on the floor. Floor area to the restroom that went into the restrooms/kitchen area on other side were wet and had smushed food on it. Disgusted with whole experience and will let everyone know never to go there. Do they ever get a health inspection?

Give it a shot
DESCRIPTION: I've been twice so far to this restaurant. I didn't know what to expect the first visit, being from the North. We don't have places like this back home. The food was really great. I tried something different each time and was impressed. Their Hush Puppies are to die for. The atmoshphere was somewhat expected. There wasn't anything shocking or out of the ordinary there but it was nice anyway. The waitress was helpful each visit and I will be going back.

DESCRIPTION: We ate at their Nashville location. The catfish was so good, it makes you want to jump up and smack your mamma! I only wish they would play more Metallica instead of Country/Western music. Two thumbs up!
