A little bit of Tuscany in San Pedro!
DESCRIPTION: I recently visited this restaurant and enjoyed authentic Italian food and soaked up the warm, inviting ambiance. The food was prepared to order (a little bit of a wait was totally worth it)! Their pasta is amazing and their chicken choices are truly Tuscan! The food was moderately priced with the warm hospitality of Italy. I definitely recommend this restaurant for a formal night, a first date or just to experience a wonderful local restaurant.

Opaa!
DESCRIPTION: Although it's been about two years since I visited, I have good memories of my dining experience. And it is definitely an experience! The staff fairly regularly forms a line and weaves their way around the tables, dancing and singing. The owners are fond of downing glasses of wine, without using their hands. This place can be quite loud and is obviously not the place to go for a quiet romantic interlude. Being from Chicago where Greek restaurants are plentiful, I was a bit surprised at the prices here, being somewhat higher than I expected. I'm glad to say however, that even with what some might call "distractions", the food was very well done, and I wouldn't mind recommending this restaurant to anyone looking for good Greek food.

DESCRIPTION: I like the small, peaceful atmosphere. The workers are very friendly and when I accidentally ordered the wrong thing, they had absolutely no hesitations taking it back. The menu doesn't have too many choices to pick from, but there's something on there for everybody and they have varying specials.

DESCRIPTION: My office is nearby so we eat there practically every day. Although we've had just about everything on the menu, I occasionally get something to go for dinner. Chicken with Lemon is yum. So are the empanadas. Cream of Broccoli is good, but a little too buttery.

Good Pasta, Great Appetizer, Awful Steak
DESCRIPTION: Dumb name, took me two years to try the place, because the name conjured up visions of some New Age Vegan restaurant. Try their pasta. Each of the pastas that I or my dining companions have ordered during two visits have been very good, although the linguine del mar's red sauce was a little overwheling for the nice seafood therein. The roasted garlic appetizer is incredible and at $5, a bargain. My New York steak during my second visit was awful, absolutely inedible. Served virtually raw when ordered medium and so fatty it was nearly impossible to cut without shaking the entire table. As it was a business dinner, I did not send it back so as not to create a scene. Nice wine selection and fairly priced.

The Best Italian Food Around
DESCRIPTION: This is the sleeper of the South Bay. I ve been going to Neil s since the day they opened and I ve never had a bad experience. The food is absolutely the best that I have tasted and the service is outstanding. I would recommend the whole menu since I have pretty much tried it all. My favorite dinner menu would be as follows: 1. Appetizer of saut ed calamari. Not too many places offer this. 2. Linguini and clams in a bowl with white sauce. This comes with a choice of soup or salad, I always get salad. 3. Finish off the night with a piece of homemade tiramisu and some coffee. I recommend Neil s to all my family and friends and everyone loves it. I'm sure you will also.
