DESCRIPTION: The traditional cuisine, and phenomenal waitstaff make it a perfect night out, not too far from your doorstep. Reasonable prices, excellent management and delicious entrees, my number one pick for Italian.

Cozy
DESCRIPTION: I have patroned Traversos a few times. It is an enjoyable family style place with a comfortable atmosphere. I have never had bad service there. Keep an eye on the managers (brothers Paul and Mike T.). They are constantly roaming around frequently interacting with the customers and always striving to improve.

DESCRIPTION: We love this place. Beautiful restaurant in a neighborhood setting. Host and waitstaff are very attentive. You won't be disappointed. Great carry-outs too!

Do yourself a favor!
DESCRIPTION: We've been going there for the last 10 years or so. We feel very much at home. Their menu is great. Pizza is unbelievable. The best I have ever had. The wait staff is always very attentive. The owners, Mike and Paul are always very concerned that you had a good experience. I'm sure that you will meet at least one of them. Their mom had a restaurant in the Pullman District in Chicago and many of their recipes come from there.

Non-pretentious Family Dining
DESCRIPTION: Whoever said that Traverso's was "only ok" and had bad service is a big fat liar. Traverso's is awesome, the waitstaff is 100% friendly and attentive, and the food is fantastic. It is a great place to bring your family, they have reasonable prices, and the place doesn't have that pretentious air about it that so many other Naperville restaurants strive to maintain.

DESCRIPTION: I've tried Traverso's 3 times now and each time I swear I'll never go back. Food is mediocre. The thin crust pizza had no flavor. I'd rather eat frozen grocery store pizza. Poor service. The wait staff acted like they had better things to do.

classic deep dish
DESCRIPTION: The pie at Lou's is without a doubt what Chicago pizza is all about. The flavors of tomato and delicious sausage couldn't be held in a better crust. As for the salad, the gorgonzola dressing is a nice alternative for the blue cheese crowd.

Incredible Pizza
DESCRIPTION: Once you try this pizza, you won't want to eat anything else. Aurelio's Pizza has always been one of my favorites and for very good reason. Living in Chicago, it's easy to find good pizza places but nothing comes close to Aurelio's.

Pizza good when consistent
DESCRIPTION: I have been to most Aurelio's locations, even, most recently the one in Henderson, NV., which is the best to date. Anyway, the product is different all over the Midwest and is very discouraging when you pay good money for an expected product and get something much different. ;( Homewood is good but good luck getting in.

Hometown Favorite
DESCRIPTION: Aurelio's IS pizza for many South Chicagolanders for good reason. The pizzas are crispy and flavorful with an excellent tomato sauce. Their pizzas are very addictive and the quality has stayed consistently excellent for over 25 years.

Aurelio's Pizza The Best
DESCRIPTION: I've been going to Aurelio's in Homewood since I was born. My baby picture is even on the wall. I'm now 28 and still can't get enough of the pizza. The sauce and thin crispy crust are to die for. I have visited a couple of the 40 locations but I always return to Homewood for the memories. Thank you Aurelio's and Congratulations on being voted Top Thin Crust Pizza in Chicago.

DESCRIPTION: I've tried almost every pizza place within 30 miles of Dallas in the past 4 years and have yet to find any as good as Aurelio's. I miss both the food and the service at the Homewood location. And, man do I miss that sauce! I'd LOVE to have the recipe!
