DESCRIPTION: The food is incredible here! The view is astounding with a cliff to the ocean and whales nearby. I actually had leftover crab cakes!! So tender and chock-full of crab!! Experience it once, that's all it takes.

Oyster Spinach Bisque
DESCRIPTION: We had the Oyster Spinach Bisque. The presentation of the dish was very good. The view from the restaurant is worth stopping and trying the menu. Sure would like to know how they prepare this selection.

What Happened to the Shrimp?
DESCRIPTION: We've been going to Tidal Raves for years and have always been impressed with the food...but, lately our favorite dish has gone awry. The beer battered tiger shrimp used to be ultra crispy and light, but the last three times we've had it, the batter was sodden, heavy. We haven't tried other deep fried items, so we can't comment on whether the problem exists with other selections of that kind. Lots of menu items are still exceptional, but we wish the shrimp would return its unparalleled deliciousness!

Beautiful view and beautiful food on the roof
DESCRIPTION: We dined on the roof on this new Lahaina restaurant on 1-7-06. We had great views of the sunset in one direction and the West Maui Mountains in the other direction. The restaurant features raw oysters and other raw seafood, but we did not try any of those. The regular menu includes several interesting appetizers, such as Crusted Calamari ($10), Breaded fried portobello mushrooms ($9), and Crawfish Cakes ($8). I had a Caesar salad with fried anchovies ($6) and other salads were $5-7. There were three pastas available ($18-24). For my entree, I had Coriander-cumin-crusted Ahi with saffron risotto and stir-fried vegetables ($26.50) which was very tasty. Other entrees included interesting preparations of mahi-mahi, opakapaka, Mongolian pork chops, steaks, lamb and chicken ($20-33). For dessert we had a delicious pineapple cake ($8). I saw several of the salads, entrees and desserts being served to other tables, and all the presentations were beautiful. Service was a little slow, but the view and the food were very good. DESCRIPTION: This was my first time to Roy's but I'll be back. The food was superb, the wait staff was professional although a little on the slow side (however, my partner says that's how it is when she goes to Hawaii so I guess it's authentic). You are treated like you should be at Roy's from the very start. I whole-heartedly recommend this place. They don't overstuff you, it's the perfect amount of stuff so you can go home and still feel like a human instead of a whale. Dress up and expect to pay between $30 - $60 per person. Wonderful food. We're definitely going back to this place, the food is truly delectable and they actually serve you instead of just bring you food. The drinks are between reasonable and high-priced depending on what you get. But just go ahead and get it all. Have someone else drive you home. Go ahead; Drink! No, I'm kidding, eat the food. I've never had spare ribs that tasty before in my life; I swear. Go to Roy's. A great deal is the Prix Fixe for $30. It gives you a taste of Roy's without going overboard. I guess what I'm trying to say in my drunken state is to go to this place.

DESCRIPTION: Roys is definetly the best restaurant in Tampa. The food is world class. The sushi is killer and the sauces that go with it are truly intriguing. The entrees are most definitely 3 dimensional and explosive.

I couldn't stop thinking about it!!
DESCRIPTION: I ordered the half order of the Yellowtale appetizer and the half order of the Salmon (wild) dinner. They were both so good that I wished I had ordered the full order of both!! I loved them! They had crunchiness and the best sauces! I keep thinking about when I'm going back there. The food was wonderful! The atmosphere was very intimate, with low lighting. I would recommend it to anyone - especially for a special occasion.

A Big Improvement
DESCRIPTION: Pineapple Grill replaced Jamesons in the clubhouse of the Bay Golf Course in Kapalua in late 2005. It's a big improvement. The new chef has created many fabulous preparations of fish as well as meat dishes. The views are better than ever, with big picture windows replacing the open-air wooden shutters that often had to be closed on windy days.

Roy's in Phoenix is a BIG disappointment
DESCRIPTION: Services: A 20 mins wait even after reservations made 3 weeks in advance. One hour wait between appetizers and salads. Our orders got mixed up two times, once by delivering other table's order to us, and once by delivering our orders to other table. Waiting staff made BAD recommendations. Overall, a poor serving staff. Food: Heavily seasoned, unlike the dishes in Honolulu. Entree portions were way too big. Overall, ordinary food. Price: Astronomical. We averaged $100.00 per person (combination deal includes appetizer, salad, entree and dessert). Overall, a very regular restaurant with poor services and extremely high prices.

Expensive but worth it
DESCRIPTION: David Paul's is the most expensive, but also the best, restaurant that is actually within the city limits of Lahaina. If you can tolerate the outrageous prices and not-very-large servings, you'll be thrilled with the food and service.

Not Mexican owned or operated
DESCRIPTION: Although the food is good, it is not a real Mexican restaurant. Eating at La Bodega and expecting Mexican food is like going to Chinese food by an Italian owner. This is a good place for a casual get together. La Bodega provides good ambiance.
