Fun, delicious, and healthy
DESCRIPTION: For those new to the concept, at a Mongolian Barbecue the diner picks from a wide array of various raw meats, vegetables, sauces, and seasonings and then presents it to the cook who stir fries it over very high heat. (Changing plates to avoid cooked food contacting raw food.) The assortment of ingredients to choose from at bd's is amazing. Steak, pork, lamb, scallops, shrimp, chicken, tofu, and every vegetable under the sun. Sauces range from mild to mega-hot. The cooking process takes about 3 minutes. (Don't forget to tip the kid and insist that he bang the 'tip gong'.) The restaurant provides a list of recommended recipes or make it up as you go. There are literally millions of combinations you can create, so you won't get bored anytime soon. You can order either one plate or the all-you-can-eat option for just a little more. Either way, you will get out of there for under 10 bucks. It might be one method for getting a vegetable or two inside the kiddies.

This Place Rocks!!!!
DESCRIPTION: I moved to Michigan from Florida and they never had a place like this there!!! The atmosphere is very lively and everyone looks like they are having fun. The staff goes out of the way to help you and make you feel at home. The food is amazing and it is an experience to make your own dinner, watch them cook it before your very eyes.... Mix and match everything under the sun.....

DESCRIPTION: Khans is a mongolian 'create your own dish' resuraunt. You create your own meal from a great selection of noodles, fruits, vegtables and sauces. Then you submit your custom dish to the cook with your desired meat selection and cooked right in front of you! Food - The food gallery has always been fresh and full. Very clean! Service - The service is always great and straitforward, no long waits. Ambiance - This place has a very simple, clean and visually appealing layout. This is a definate highlight. This is a great alternative to the usual order out teriyaki or alike. This is much more interactive and fun. This place is quite popular so if you are in a hurry, take care to not attend during peak meal hours, the lines can build up! (5-10min wait max)

Great food, BAD service
DESCRIPTION: I've been dining here for over 5 years. I love the food and am a devoted customer. HOWEVER...of all the times I've gone, only about 10% of the time have I recieved adequate to good service. Almost all of the servers their are rude (though, occasionally, at the end of the meal, they might put on a smile to earn their tip). The point is, the food's so good that I'll put up with rude servers if I have to (and I pretty much always have to).

The Best Mongolian BBQ Anywhere
DESCRIPTION: I was in the Military for 4 years, and I am a huge fan of Mongolian BBQ's. I have had them all over the US, from SoCal to Wisconsin, and I have not found one that can compare to The Golden Grill. I have been eating at this one for over 7 years now. I have friends that were in the Marines with me, and when they come to visit, the first thing they want to do is eat here. I don't have any problems with the service, however, there is one employee that we try to avoid when we go there, he is a young man, who sometimes cooks on the BBQ, and he really ruins the meal for us, so much that we have resorted to getting the BBQ to go. The wait staff have been nothing but great to us, they really take care of us. The BBQ is the best, and worth a try, if you have never had it before, it may take a couple of trips to figure out what types of sauces to use, but once you get it down this place is hands down the best food in Washington.

Finally... UPSCALE Mongolian Bar-B-Q...
DESCRIPTION: I'm a big fan of the Mongolian Bar-b-q concept, but so many places fall short of really doing it right. Song surpassed my expectations of what a Mongolian Bar-b-q restaurant should be -- finally, something with CLASS! Not only do they have more exotic items for you to choose from (portobella mushrooms, tofu, lamb, scallops, etc.), they have created a unique, stylish and comfortable atmosphere for dining. Its fun just walking around the place. While the cost of dinner for two is on the higher end for the area, it was within the affordable range for my dotcom entrepreneurial budget. You really get your money's worth, the service was impeccable, the food delicious, and everyone was exceptionally friendly. I will be going back there rather often!

Treat Yourself!!
DESCRIPTION: We have been to Song Mongolian Grill several times, and it never dissapoints. The food offerings are always delectable: shrimp, lamb, pork, beef, tofu, coconut, fresh vegetables, pasta, every conceivable oil, sauce, and seasoning combination, all served with amazing rosemary herb rice and fresh flour tortillas. Save room for dessert! Chocolate Bread Pudding, Bananas and Cream in a caramel Flaky Crust and the Chocolate cake are among our favorites. The staff, especially Katarina, is exceptionally friendly and will see to it that you have a most positive dining experience. Top it off with a quiet, but visually appealing/romantic atmoshere. Song is a winner!

Build the perfect meal.
DESCRIPTION: Even on the dreariest New Jersey winter day, the smiles from "Charlie Chan" (that's the name he goes by but for some reason, I don't think it's his REAL name : ) ) and his friendly and ever-attentive staff, the oldies rock being played, and the clean and well lit just brighten your spirits. You can order traditional Chinese dishes and sushi, but hey... you're here for the Mongolian grill anyway. So after ordering the type of rice and soup you want with your buffet, grab a big bowl and start filling. You know the drill, meats, veggies, and of course those noodles, slather on the sauce and hand it over to the man with the big hat. Moments later, a steaming dish of yum. (Want to impress your date or the kiddies? Put a buck in the tip jar and the chef will ring the tip bell). On the way back, take a look at the small Chinese buffet choices... scallion pancake, sweet and sour chicken, lo mein, and more. And grab some since you want your Mongolian grub to cool down (I've burnt many a taste bud trying to scarf the delish stuff too quickly!). Sit down and enjoy some conversation and good food that you actually made to order. At lunch, you can only make one trip to the grill but at dinner, it's all you can eat. Expect to spend about $7 for lunch and $11 for dinner.l

Healthy and Inexpensive
DESCRIPTION: J.P. Lee's in Millburn is an exceptional restaurant. Not only is the food outstanding, the people there treat you like one of their own. The manager at the front of the restaurant, Charlie, is funny and witty. He can speak mulitple languages as well as give you free chopstick lessons. What I liked most about this place was that I was able to create my own meal. The Mongolian BBQ is their specialty, and this is where you choose your favorite meats, veggies, noodles, and sauces to be grilled right in front of you. The chefs use giant chopsticks to cook your meal to perfection. The sushi, chinese buffet, and shrimp cocktail are all included in the dinner buffet. The value I got for this price was exceptional. For $10.95 per person you will not leave the restaurant hungry. This is an extremely fresh and healthy way of eating. They take cash, as well as MC, Visa, and Discover. Also, you can bring your own liquior without a problem. They have all of the necessary ammenities for the alcohol(wine opener, glasses, and ice buckets). J.P. Lee's is truly an extraordinary value.

DESCRIPTION: Ok well let me start off by saying this is my favorite resturaunt! But be careful... don't go on a full stomach. It's a good idea not to eat lunch before going there for dinner. I usually go for around at the bbq, a round of sushi, some egg drop soup and if i have any room (remember no lunch before this) i'll go for the chinese buffet. Really friendly... Charlie really knows his customers... He greets my family on a first name basis every time!

Vancouverite Loves Golden Tent
DESCRIPTION: Last night, Mon. 12/27, I visited the Vancouver Golden Tent Restaurant, for my favorite dish of beef and pork, plenty of shrimp, and diced scallions. Topped off with ginger sauce and sesame seed oil. Absolutely excellent! The usual service, my server was a very helpful and customer service-oriented young woman with a pony tail. No name.

Fast and Fabulous
DESCRIPTION: My favorite place for lunch! The wait staff are always friendly and available. You choose your serving size (or all you can eat) and build your own stir fry from fresh ingredients. There is a good variety of meats and vegetables and you design your own dish, so you only get the things you like. Mongolian lets you cater to your own tastes. If you like hot and spicy, add plenty of fire oil. Or choose a sweet plum sauce, bbq flavor, or any combination from lots of sauce/oil choices. When you have your bowl filled, you hand it to the chef who tosses it onto a superhot grill for a fast stir-fry. Each order includes a serving of white rice. Dinner costs a bit more than lunch, and I haven't exactly determined what the difference is... other than the time of day. But for a fast and fabulous lunch, this is always my first choice.

fresh buffet
DESCRIPTION: As a rule I don't like Chinese buffets because the food is usually not fresh or the restaurant is unkept. New China buffet is very clean, always has fresh food, and a good variety of both Chinese and American foods (pizza, chicken, etc). they even have Mongolian bar-b-q. and like most buffets your drinks and dessert are included. But the star of the show is the stir fry. It is done on the spot, you choose your meat & vegs and they will prepare it for you while you wait. It is great! I go just for the stir fry and the price you can't beat, just $5 for lunch.

Fabulous General Tso's Chicken
DESCRIPTION: I've enjoyed many meals here over the years and find that the flavors are not to be matched at any of the other local Chinese restaurants for miles around. The flavors are top line and actually the only complaint I find with them is that they don't keep the steam tables high enough to keep the food hot to the touch.
