DESCRIPTION: I went to Carlos O'Kelly's tonight and we had no service whatsoever, the girl, April, took other peoples' orders who got there 10 minutes after us, other people came in behind us they sat down and left before we even got our food! My mother said something about it when we had been there 15 minutes and didn't have our drinks and so we had another waiter because she was mad. They did not even bring our appetizers, when the food got there we said forget the appetizers and the guy did not even know about them. I was very disappointed we waited 40 minutes before we got our

Not too shabby
DESCRIPTION: The boys and I eat at Carlos down the street from us at least once a week. The food isn't too expensive and the service isn't too bad (although don't expect too much). Overall, we go to Carlos to pick up a quick bite to eat and stuff ourselves with free chips and salsa which I consider to be some of the best in town. Give it a try if you like Mexican food and want a quick bite to eat.

DESCRIPTION: We go to Carlos' every chance we get. Service is great and so is the food. We went there New Year's Eve. Thanks for the great food.

Normal Suburban Tex-Mex
DESCRIPTION: Carlos O'Kellys. 50% Mexican 50% Fun. That s what you get, the no bull tex-mex that suburbanites have grown to love. Cold frozen margaritas and enchiladas drowning in some of the best sauces. Carlos O'Kellys is family friendly, yet keeps a decent enjoyable college night atmosphere with 2 for one taco nights on Wednesday and Karaoke after 10 pm on Thursdays. Its good food for the money, and being located in Fairfax it's a steal at entries averaging at $11.50

Good sauces for Tex-Mex food
DESCRIPTION: First time I ate there (1992) I hated it and didn't go back for a long time. Decided to give it a second time and now we eat there weekly. The Grilled Praire Fire Steak is excellent, the salads are large and fresh, and yes, anything with their Pablano sauce is fabulous. Save room for fried ice cream. True, don't expect top knotch service cause it's mostly college kids who are working to get through school, not people who want to know and understand the restaurant business and good customer service. Prices are average. Avoid the bar and smoking section unless you love crowds and lots of noise. We don't like to be near kids so we always tell them to seat us away from the families and they have always given us a good table. Can get crowded on weekends so call for reservations. Great salsa and chips. I give it an 8
