DESCRIPTION: We came to Sierra's Grill for lunch on Monday, April 16, 2001 and paid almost $50.00. The service was very poor - server did not understand our request for hot sauce and said everthing is hot. Next we are vegetarian and got a Vegy Fazitas to get nothing but onions and 4 slices of green peppers. The tortillas were very dry. Also when we requested for a substitue for the rice since it is made with chicken broth we were not offered and given anything but beans. It was a very poor experience.

Great Restaurant
DESCRIPTION: The food is excellent and the service is great. We have been customers since the restaurant opened over 10 years ago. If you don't know what you want, try the fajitas, or the chimichanga. The fish dishes are also very good. This restaurant is definitely one of our favorites.

Good food, nice folks
DESCRIPTION: A hispanic friend recommended it to me. She and I went, and I foud the food to be excellent. I don't think I'd want to try ordering yuppie veggie food, but this is not that kind of place. It is a latino restaureant that serves great latin food.

Good food, good for carryout too
DESCRIPTION: Over the past 20 years Sierra's has expanded from a Mom & Pop operation to a full service restaurant. Food is excellent and prices reasonable. If you are in a hurry for food you can fax a carryout request to have ready for pickup.

Sante Fe Cafe
DESCRIPTION: I have been in College Park for several years now, and the menu has improved over that time. I have had all of their wraps, and they are really good. The spinach artichoke dip is pretty good also. Keep up the good work.

Yummy Food in a Plain Setting
DESCRIPTION: My husband and I finally went to this restaurant with our two young children, after several of our neighbors said they eat here regularly. It is located in a small strip store building with 3 or 4 other shops. The interior is simply decorated, with plain booths and tables and a television in the corner. The casual atmosphere was just fine, since the noise and restlessness of our kids fit right in with several other families. I ordered the Camarones Acajutla and my husband got the Pollo Acajutla - shrimp and chicken served with a creamy chipotle sauce. Both arrived reasonably quickly, hot and fresh, simply presented, with a decent portion size. And they were very good! Although I don't think this will become one of our regular places to eat out at, it will certainly be the place to go when we crave something Salvadoran

DESCRIPTION: I go to El Mexicano alot because it's someplace inexpensive that has a good variety of food that vegetarians can eat. In most restaurants, even the non-meat items have contact with meat products in some way, but El Mexicano seems to have much better food-handling practices (I've been to 4 different locations). I can't afford restaurants all the time and fast food places & sub shops are out because their handling makes it impossible to get even lettuce and cheese without having some contact with meat products... El Mexicano is pretty much the only inexpensive place I can go.

Unexpected Pleasure
DESCRIPTION: Food: Taquito & Chicken Burrito combo. Made fresh - delicious! Ambiance: Very Mexican-like. Very nice and comfortable. Service: Very good. Hostess came to our table twice before we were ready to order. Value: Very good. Prices were not bad and the helping was very large. Note: The pre-dinner chips were not that good.

Fantastic Fish!
DESCRIPTION: I don't usually do the "regular" Mexican type dishes here. Instead, I look forward to the beautifully prepared fresh grilled fish, in particular the filet of sole. They transorm this mundane fish into a real treat, and the lunchtime portions are very large, and, as all their meals, include two large grilled shrimps beside. The service is pleasant and efficient, and the new outdoor covered area makes outdoor dining "safer" in case of sudden storms. Their beef dishes are also outstanding.

despite ambiance, very good
DESCRIPTION: Didn't look like much when we walked in and looked at the menu. However we were very surprised when the food actually came out. The menu descriptions do not do justice to the dishes. They seemed like plain ingredients from the menu, but the the details are what make this food great. The soup I got was described as "egg soup with noodles". I expected an asian style egg drop soup with noodles, but what came was a delicately spiced milk-based broth with eggs and noodles and garnished well. My wife's salad was a rich leafy green salad with fresh vegetables that tasted in season and served with a great house-made vinegarette. The half chicken was encrusted in a great blend of spices and cooked perfectly. the fried yucca was ordinary, but the mustard-mayo blend to dip it in was outstanding. Overall, our dinner exceeded our expectations and reinforced the old addage, "Don't judge a book by its cover"

Great Food
DESCRIPTION: Everything I have tried on the menu is very good. They make the best pork burrito on the panet (the "Sabroso"). Great sangria, low prices.
