Best Green Chili I've ever tasted
DESCRIPTION: I was first introduced to Las Cazuelas about two weeks after they opened. I've since traveled all over the Southwest amd California. Las Cazuelas remains my favorite smothered burrito in the world. The green chili is rich, and filled with large chunks of pork, and the refritos taste homemade. The food hasn't changed in the past 27 (or so) years. I regularly drive the 100 miles from home to eat there.

DESCRIPTION: This is by far the very best bang for your buck. The food is both wonderful and affordable. Made from scratch and absolutely delicious. Family owned. Plenty of seating and always packed. The salads are unwaiveringly fresh. The authentic Italian dishes are from scratch and delicious. The pizzas are fabulous. This is the best kept secret in western Colorado. The waitresses are dear people.

I'm impressed . . .
DESCRIPTION: Let's face it - Delta is not known as a culinary mecca. But Daveto's is a breath of fresh air - a great place to dine without having to go to Montrose or Paonia. This is not a fine dining establishment where you'll find veal piccata or scaloppini. But it is a excellent pasta house. The lasagna, tortellini Alfredo, meatball canaloni and baked ravioli are excellent (but I think that can be said for all the pastas). You can order the pasta only or as a dinner with salad and garlic bread (three large pieces each). The salad is generous with cheese, salami and about a dozen dressing choices. Someone in our party ordered a burrito, which was huge, and he said it was delicius. But Italian is what they do - and do well. Very popular, reasonable prices, attractively decorated with Italian countryside murals and wrought iron chandelier accents. Family dining at its best.

Not only a Green scene...
DESCRIPTION: Before trying La Loma restaurant, I had heard pepole rave about their green chili. Problem is, I only eat RED chili due to family custom. On my way there to eat for the first time I was told by friends I was with that I would be disappointed as the restaurant was so well known for their green chili, that there would be no other option. Well, they were way wrong and I was pleasantly surprised. La Loma does give you a choice or green or red with your meal and their red sauce is quite tasty. It's a sin that locals have fallen for the "trendiness" of green chili and don't know what they're missing by not trying the red stuff at La Loma. It has just the right loudness to its flavour and Pepe, our waiter, kept the Negro Modelo coming at just the right pace to quench the fire. The restaurant also has a full service bar with top notch staff, and a comfortable atmosphere. Prices tend to run a little higher than some Mexican restaurants in the area, but portions do seem larger.
