Wonderful Greek Food
DESCRIPTION: Tiffany's is a casual order at the counter place and they bring the food to your table. Nothing fancy. The people behind the counter are pleasant and customers were quickly greeted as they came in. The prices are a little higher than one might expect... e.g. $8.00 for a gyro and fries. I had the gyro with a Greek salad replacing the fries for 75 cents more. I must say, however, the gyro and the salad were huge. Lots of tasty meat and the salad was not just a side... it literally took up most of the plate. Real silverware and a nice sharp knife came with the meal. The other Greek food we did not try looked fantastic (e.g. spankopita). We'll have them the next time. It would also be interesting to try their pizza some time. All-in-all, the gyro was the best I have had in Las Cruces... bigger and better than Phoenicia or International Delights. Even though the price is a little steep, it was well worth it. The Greek salad was very good. If you want good Greek food and are not too concerned about a fancy or high-styled ambiance, you will enjoy your meal at Tiffany's. Highly recommended.

Never again!
DESCRIPTION: I was a customer of Gyros Mediterranean for years, but never again, after today. I ordered moussaka. It arrived hot on the outside, with an icy center, obviously microwaved from a frozen state. I sent it back and asked for the chicken instead, as I knew it was fresh. The waiter after a long delay came back and said I couldn't have the chicken, but they were warming up my moussaka. I told him this was unacceptable and wanted my money back. Then the manager, Ruth, came over and accused me of eating "most of it" before sending it back - that's right, the CENTER was an ice cube. I told her I would get my money back one way or the other. Then I asked for the name and address of the owner. Ruth wouldn't give it to me, so I had to ask another waiter for it. When I asked when/where could I see the owner, Ruth said he wasn't in. But after she went in the back to give me my money back, lo and behold, the owner came out. Then he finally voided the credit card transaction. He also accused me of lying by saying I had "eaten most of it" as if that had anything to do with any part of my meal remaining frozen! This is unacceptable behavior in any restaurant. I'll never go back and won't recommend Gyros to anyone whatsoever. I should have taken my coworker's word for it; he won't visit because he got sick from the food once. I believe him now as I have proof the food is not fresh.

And Now For Something Completely Different...
DESCRIPTION: Hmmm... Greek cuisine concocted by a former civil engineer who went to France to learn how to cook? Not exactly what one would expect in Albuquerque, but Barry's Oasis ranks right up there in my Top Ten Restaurants List. Barry's is tucked away in the corner of a shopping center, but it's well worth searching out. A superb meal for two (sans alcohol but with dessert) will set you back no more than eighty bucks. Barry advertises his restaurant as Greek, but there's a nice variety of gastronomical delights on the menu. Check it out!

Great Little Greek Spot
DESCRIPTION: Nothing fancy inside, but the food is more than worth it! The taste is unique, and the service is fine. Fantastic desserts!

Wonderful food, fun atmosphere
DESCRIPTION: I live in California and still crave Cafe Rio Pizza. They also have wonderful Jambalaya and Kale soup. Oh and Espresso cake. YUM!

OH MY GAWD...THE BEST PIZZA ON EARTH!
DESCRIPTION: I live in Dallas where you would think we could get great pizza somewhere, right? WRONG...nothing anywhere on this earth competes with CAFE RIO. OK, so they need to replace the chairs in the dining room, but so what? Don't let that dissuade you from trying them! We have been to Ruidoso 6 times now, and have never given it a shot till now, and it was on day 12 of our 14 day trip..we went back on day 14 ate, and took one to go! (we ate it in Dallas...ahhh).. Any pizza is fantastic; they spin their own crust up in the air in front of you...I didn't care for the salad, but you don't need it anyway, the pizza is huge. Calzones were huge and cheap. Service was fun and friendly! We stuffed our family of 5 with 3 large pizzas and Cokes and salad for around $35.00...not to0 shabby for Ruidoso. Go eat here! Liz

YES... IT IS THE BEST PIZZA... ON EARTH
DESCRIPTION: If you are a pizza lover, or even if you're not, you cannot visit Ruisoso without eating at Cafe Rio. Everything and everyone there is friendly, funny and happy. Oh and they got some new chairs as of our last visit... May, 06. My BF and I visit every May and Sept from Apache Junction Arizona. Make sure you stop in there even if just to look around at all the stuff on the walls and have a quick drink. You will be very glad you did.
