Best Dinner of my Life!
DESCRIPTION: Cafe L'Europe in Palm Beach will forever be a favorite place of mine! Just last week, my friends and I decided to make a reservation for Saturday Evening at Cafe L'Europe for dinner. After learning that the Jazz Quartet began at 9:45 pm in the Bistro, we settled on an 8:30 reservation in the same room. The Maitre'd, Bruce Strickland, greeted us with warmth and the familiarity of an old friend. The food, prepared by Executive Chef Jens Dahlmann, was heavenly. The waitstaff was attentive and (I highly recommend the Alaskan Halibut.) Our Dinner was complimented by champagne and wine chosen from an impressive (1400 labels!!) Wine List. Right on time, the Jazz Quartet kicked the evening into high gear with terrific music. Tables were quickly shifted to add a dance floor that hosted some of the most beautiful people on the island. Needless to say, I'm going back next week!

DESCRIPTION: This restaurant lives up to its reputation as the best of the best. It is really a very special treat to dine there. The maitre d' and the staff make diners feel at ease and the food just keeps getting better and better as the courses go on. I went last year for my birthday and we're going again this year without even thinking about it. It is very expensive but you get what you pay for. Also a good excuse to dress up. Most patrons were very nicely dressed in dresses and pantsuits and the men wore jackets and ties.

DESCRIPTION: I went there with my girlfriend on a friday night, the place was packed! The food was amazing! Everything was presented beautifuly, food was hot, and tasted great! Service was outstanding even though they were swamped with customers.

New and improved
DESCRIPTION: The former Menu is gone. Thank goodness. What was once a hangout for drinkers is now one of the most amazing places I have seen. It has been transformed from dreary to breathtaking. The food tastes like it was made by every professional cool in the world. If food this good was made at home my family would die of pleasure. I love this new place, (it has only been open about a week). Go and have something to eat. Be amazed at the change. Thank you new owners of The Coach House for improving the Vero Beach dining scene so much!

DESCRIPTION: Recently had dinner at Odette's followed by an evening at the piano bar. What a treat! The view of the river is spectacular, the food was beautifully prepared and graciously served by our capable, knowledgeable wait-person, Terry. Drinks were generous. Bob Egan at the piano bar is a local tradition who draws outstanding talent to sing and entertain. An evening to remember.

My favorite place in the 'burg
DESCRIPTION: I love this place. It's a wonderful treat for any meal and occasion, particularly with someone special. I sometimes feel like I've been transported to that neighborhood restaurant featured in the film "Moonstruck" when I'm here! <P> The black angus filet can't be beat. I also savor the gnocchi and any seafood specials. <P> Mange!

Absolutely the best
DESCRIPTION: This is the way every restaurant should be. The food is to die for, and the service exceeds all expectations. Sunday brunch is flawless, one of the best I have ever had. You should start with the dessert selections. It is simply too good to leave until you are to full to enjoy them. The room is beautiful and the views of Virginia and Maryland are awsome.

DESCRIPTION: The mushroom soup is very rich and undoubtedly the best I've ever had. The osso bucco with cranberry glaze is delectable and so tender you can cut it with a fork. Fabulous wine selection and service to please even the pickiest diner. Best dining in Beaumont, hands down.

glad we found it!
DESCRIPTION: After spending all day on a whale watching tour, my husband and I decided to walk around Poipu. We happened down a side road just looking at homes when we stumbled on Casa di Amici. The restaurant wasn't open yet and we were very casually dressed, but hostess took a reservation and assured us that we were dressed fine. We watched the sun set while waiting for the restaurant to open (it was gorgeous) then went in to eat. I was famished from being out in the sun all day so we ordered an appetizer, salads, and entrees. We shared the Chili Verde Risotto served with home-made tortillas. It was so good I nearly had to wrestle with my husband just to get the few bites I had...we even considered ordering another! Fortunately our salads came out soon and distracted us from that idea. I had an Asian salad with almonds and goat cheese and my husband had a caesar salad. After a couple of bites we just looked at each other and couldnt't believe our luck! What are the chances of stumbling upon a restaurant where even the salads were unbelievable! It wasn't until after we finished our salads that I noticed how intimate the ambience had become once the last of the sunlight faded out of the sky and the live grand piano music began. That was when my entire focus changed...up that point the meal was working up to the entrees until I saw what was on the table next to us and realized I absolutely had to save room for DESSERT. For dinner I had a half order of the duck confit. My husband had the filet medallions on fettucine (and half of my half order, I couldn't fight him off of it...does that mean I really only had a quarter portion?). Our dinners were delicious, the confit...exquisite. For dessert we shared the tiramisu. It was prepared a bit different from what I've had elsewhere, and quickly became my new favorite. Our dinner that night was the most pleasant surprise of our entire trip, which is why we went back the last two nights of our week and half long stay on the island...even though we were staying all the way out on the north shore.
