DESCRIPTION: Eph McNally's is a very nice little restaurant in Corktown on Porter street. They serve mostly "sammiches," that are excellent. The hours are from about 10am to 4pm, a little to short for my tastes, but I manage to get there anyway. The staff is cool and on point, and the decor takes you back to school with all the lunch boxes surrounding the dining area. It's the best all around lunch place in the city. p.s. It gets busy during lunch so, come early, or eat standing...hehehehe.

Great break from the office ambiance!
DESCRIPTION: The decor can be the topic of conversation through your meal; it is quite fun! Food is great. Watch the portions if you are counting calories :-) The staff could be a bit more helpful and friendly, but maybe that was because it was busy... or it goes with the "atmosphere". if you are working downtown, make it a point to have lunch here to breat the monotony of your cubicle.

How does a place screw up English pub fare?
DESCRIPTION: Ate here last weekend (12/14/2003) with in-laws, wife and two kids under 8. Quick seating was the highlight of our visit, after that things went downhill. Service was SLOW. Entrees arrived within two minutes of our salads. One kid had grilled cheese sandwich, but they left out the grilled part. My lamb curry was a bland lamb stew as it lacked anything resembling curry. My other son's bangers and mash looked like a bad meal from my boot camp days. The in-laws steak and mushroom pies were bland at best. Server forgot our coffee. A service charge was included on the bill, though we saw nothing in the menu that it would automatically be incurred. It's hard to fathom that a place can screw up BRITISH PUB FARE this badly!

DESCRIPTION: This place is awesome. They have great products and everything is beautifully presented. It's some really top quality tea. It has a great atmosphere (and wifi!). The service is superb. The whole package of the shop puts a smile on your face.

Fantastic!
DESCRIPTION: The tea and service here is great. I had a cup of hot chocolate with peppermint and some shortbread biscuits, it was to die for. Beautifully decorated from top to bottom, and stocked with some neat looking teaware. It's right down the street from the PATH, and I stop in every day.

Fresh fish from the Brit
DESCRIPTION: He's definitly a Brit as the decor tells you. Makes fish and chips the way the Brits like it. Very good Chowder but the Fish and Chips (2 or 3 pc sizes) are what to get (spend money for the recommendation). You won't go wrong. Only problem is that it's in the back of a dingy strip mall.

English pub in SW Michigan
DESCRIPTION: This is a great restaurant! Friday and Saturday nights are filled with rousing English pub songs and the food varies from the traditional English fare to many wonderful Indian curry dishes. Wonderful atmosphere and service complimented by excellent food cooked to order! My husband and I frequent this establishment as often as possible.

Good Fish and Chips
DESCRIPTION: When my wife and I crave real fish and chips we head to King's Court. The beer is normally good and cold. The fish and chips are the closest thing to original I have found in the DC area. We normally go early ~5PM and it has always been very quite but I like it like that.

We Love the Pig!
DESCRIPTION: My friends and I have been going to the Pig and Whistle on a regular basis for about three years, and we absolutely love it. By far the best pub in the City, it has a superb selection of beers and the food is very good and extremely reasonably priced. Great atmosphere and Sunday night's pub quiz is a lot of fun.
