Nice Place, salty food
DESCRIPTION: Chale Ipanema is a friendly restaurant with a cozy atmosphere. The food is quite good, but very salty. Seafood and meats are quite good. Stay away from the soups. Nice wines.

A wonderful find for fine dining
DESCRIPTION: Chefs/owners Rick and Linda Hall's success in the two+ years they have been open is not surprising. The food and service are wonderful! The cooking is imaginative without being weird. The presentation is wonderful as well. The complimentary homemade breads are very good, too. The appetizers are fantastic and quite generous. Most can be split between two people easily. The soups are always a special treat and vary week to week. There are usually two salads available--a tossed green and a caesar. Again, they are fresh, crisp and well prepared. The entrees are fantastic and quite varied. Two specials are available every night. The desserts are to die for! Every night there is Rick's signature cream brulee. The flavors vary (ginger, chocolate, etc.), but the texture is always perfect. Linda is an extraordinary pastry chef and her creations are always magnificent in appearance and delicious. This is a busy place, so if you plan to visit on a weekend, you must have a reservation

Brazilian Delight
DESCRIPTION: Upscale all you can eat buffet! The best international salad bar on Earth! This restaurant is a must do in your lifetime...unless you are a Vegan, even then I'd say it is more than worth it! The waiters wearing traditional Brazilian "gaucho" pants really add to the ambiance. The team of waiters live up to your every expectation! The food is spectacular and the decor is very relaxing. Be sure to make reservations but even if you don't, the host/hostess will be sure to seat you expeditiously.

Fabulous
DESCRIPTION: This Brazilian restuarant is tucked away in old town Winchester, offering authentic Brazilian cuisine with house specialties of seafood and pasta. Highly recommend the Brazil 2000 dish, but no matter what you order it will be delicious. Excellent service.

DESCRIPTION: About a year and a half ago, I received a gift certificate for Tucano's restuarant in Winchester. What a great gift that turned out to be. My wife and I were so pleased with the menu variety and quality of the food (including it's preparation and presentation) that we think it is the best food in the area (and there are a lot of excellent eating places around here). In fact, we've both agreed that it's probably the best food we've ever tasted anywhere. We've taken our family there and they love it. Recommend it highly!

RECOMMENDED DISHES : Don't hold me to the names of the dishes we've tried, but all have been delicious. We frequently order two pasta based items that are among our favorites... one is a pasta base with chicken, and a sauce that has onion, olives, tomatoes and other ingredients that make the most delicate and tasty sauce you could ever hope to come across... this is not a typical Italian type dish... it is very special. The other pasta dish is one I really like... the main ingredient is hearts of palm, along with onion, tomato (sun dried and fresh) and a white cream sauce that's out of this world. We've also had a shrimp presentation that is worth going back for, and our grandson loved their steak offerings. The soups are extra special, (oh my! that potato soup is the best), and altho' we've not yet tried a main salad, the small salad provided with the lunch menu is so good, that the other listed salads have just got to be wonderful-good... and their garlic bread is a great addition to any meal you might order..

DESCRIPTION: I had never been to this restaurant until my sister-in-law took me there last year. (it's her favorite place to dine in the whole Winchester area.)the service was wonderful, the people were nice, and the food was absolutely delicious! I loved everything I tried there. If I'm ever in Winchester, I will definitely go back and try another fabulous dish!

Tucano Restaurant
DESCRIPTION: A friend and I went to the Tucano Resturant last night and the food was awful. Lacked in flavor and presentation. Very Disappointed!! This is suppose to be a five star resturant I'm not so sure.

This is not a Brazilian restaurant...
DESCRIPTION: It used to be, but apparently TGI Friday's has recently taken over. Is Jack Daniel's steak a popular menu item in Manaus? The menu has changed dramatically since it opened in 1995, and not for the better. It is now about 15 percent Brazilian, 75 percent random suburban trendy menu items.

What are reservations for?
DESCRIPTION: Food is good, not sure it's great. Certainly not great enough to wait 2 1/2 hours for which we did a few years ago for my birthday. They left us standing at a non-stocked, non-attended bar, nearly sitting on the shoulders of diners behind us. They oh so graciously gave us a bottle of wine after we flagged a waiter down. and eventually a basket of bread when we begged for it as we feared we would pass out from hunger and heat. Several larger tables who came in after us were seated before us. We tried again last year, again with reservations, and were told the wait was about an hour. There is no place to wait in the restaurant and there was a fine icy rain at the time. This year for my birthday, my husband suggested several restaurants, including Tucano's--I went on a mini-rage, reminging him of our past, very unfavorable experiences and reminded him that I will NOT go there again. Nor will I recommend it. Service stinks.

Great Restaurant
DESCRIPTION: A little surprised by some of the reviews. Excellent food. Do not remember seeing much on the menu that was not of Latin origin. We were there on a Thursday evening and it was not crowded.

Great Food and Decent Value
DESCRIPTION: If you have tried other Brazillian restaurants and found that the meat was suspiciously salty enough to deter a patron that might be tempted to over eat their overcooked meat should try this one! At about half the cost of the premier Brazillian restaurant in downtown Atlanta, Fogo Gaucho far surpasses that restaurant with its quality, unique seasonings, interesting bar suggestions (just ask your server) as well as offering a mouthwatering salad bar.
