Still Very Good
DESCRIPTION: Very good dinner and did not even have ribs. I decided to try a couple of their other items in a combination and was not disappointed at all. Best of what we had was the turkey which was not the typical deli turkey so many places try to get away with but good all white, no additive looking turkey, and lots of it. Rolls, pulled chicken and other items all good as well.

Best BBQ around
DESCRIPTION: The hickory smoked pork and homemade veggies here are absolutely delicious. Take-out only though. Not a problem to me. I drive 20 miles each way for this wonderful food.

slackin bbq
DESCRIPTION: fyi, the bbq is chopped and made dry. The bbq really lacks flavor and substance. Nothing like authentic bbq should be. Mac and cheese are not anything special and collard greens were pretty bland. Cornbread was pretty good.

DESCRIPTION: I have the Pulled Pork BBQ almost every time I go here. The platter is served with fries and cole slaw and looks almost as good as it tastes. The portions are big enough so I can't go away hungry, yet not so much that I feel I have wasted any when we leave. Great value for the money.

What happened to Red River?
DESCRIPTION: We used to go to Red River quite often but hadn't been in a while. When we went we found a 'new' restaurant in it's place! Inside though, everything looks the same, the management is the same, and the service is the same. The only differences I noticed were in the name and the barbeque. Red River's BBQ used to be served dry and you could add any one of six available BBQ sauce flavors right at the table. Famous Dave's BBQ is served 'moist', i.e., it is actually prepared in BBQ sauce. DESCRIPTION: Texas ribs is a great place because of the waitress Darla, she is a top rated waitress or Bartender, but I see people not tipping as much as they should to her... Bone Suckin' Great Time
DESCRIPTION: Great atmosphere, fresh food, great service, large family-style portions, and reasonable prices. It's a can't-miss opportunity for the whole family. The Severna Park location is a little smaller than this one, but of the same quality.

bbq cafeteria, sauce stands out
DESCRIPTION: This is a long time Rockville cafeteria. Best features are the ribs, the great bbq sauce, and the best bbq beans around. Chicken is a good bet too, although the pork and brisket bbq sandwiches are not quite as good as what's offered at other bbq places. This place has been consistent over the years and it's one of my standbys. I did not rate the service since it's a cafeteria and doesn't apply.
