Ummmm, Seriously Disappointed.
DESCRIPTION: I usually love ABC, but I asked them to make a Shrek cake for my daughter's 3rd birthday. They sounded like it wasn't the first request they'd gotten for a Shrek cake, and seemed pretty confident. Well, I pick it up and this is what I got: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v610/zelle999/shrekattacks.jpg Mind you, for a THREE YEAR OLD's birthday party. I was horrified. It was the most hideous cake I've ever seen, and I can't really say it looked anything like Shrek. I was really pissed off but didn't have time to go back and complain.

A wedding to remember
DESCRIPTION: I got my wedding cake from ABC and they did an AMAZING JOB. My cake was perfect and delivered on time. They were great about communication and were always friendly and prompt. In addition to my wedding cake, I have also purchased birthday cakes, baby shower cakes and ice cream cakes that were all equally good. The only down side are the display cakes. They could use some updating. They have been picked and poked at (This is an understatement!!!!). They DON'T do the final product justice.

Very pleased with our wedding cake
DESCRIPTION: My daughter's wedding was July 23rd in New Mexico. The cake we ordered from ABC was very nicely done. It was simply and elegantly decorated, just as we wanted, to receive fresh flowers. It traveled well. Most importantly, it also was very delicious, both the mocha and lemon layers. Because of needing to plan the wedding from a different state I especially appreciate everything working out so nicely with only over the phone communication.

bad business ethics
DESCRIPTION: I ordered a cake for my daughter's birthday and we paid for it in advance as it was a specialty cake. When we got there to pick up the cake it was not the cake that we ordered. I called to talk to the manager, "Bob" and he was extremely rude and used offensive language. In a nutshell, I would not purchase even a cookie from their bakery in the future. I will say however that the employees of the bakery were much more professional than "Bob", who could use a lesson in business ethics as well as a lesson in verbal etiquette.

DESCRIPTION: The day I found ABC Cake Shop was the day I stopped worrying about what the cake would taste like. For every occasion at home and at work that called for a cake, I ordered from ABC Cake shop and every single time the cake has been incredibly delicious. I have moved away from Albuquerque but I still highly recommend it to everyone that I know who lives there and not one has been dissappointed. I wish I could have moved ABC Cake Shop with me! The staff is warm and very professional and see to every last detail. Service like that is hard to come by and greatly appreciated. I did a search on the internet and came accross this site and thought I might as well let you know, after all these years that I'm still thinking and talking about your cake shop and to say thank you.

DESCRIPTION: Daylight Donuts was bought up and is now called Daylight Delights. Gone are all the antiques and some the Los Alamos memorabilia, but there are quite a lot of furnishings. In the morning, you will find a glass case with apple strudels and chocolate cakes and such. This is more than just a Donut shop; it's the place to meet the people of Los Alamos, have coffee, eat cinnamon rolls, Bear Claws, caramel covered wheat rolls (if you need fiber), muffins, breakfast burritos (they are kinda small and doughy, but besides that very good), French crullers, crepes, waffles. At night, you get much the same thing, and pastries like Binetes (don't know how to spell it, but similar to pastries I've found in New York). If you are craving desserts, they probably have whatever you are craving. Aldo the Coffee and Cokes are refillable, and they have Tea as well.
