"Banana-Blueberry Muffins" from New York New York Downtown Delicatessen, Bloomfield, CT
| Ingredients | | | 2 1/4 | cup | flour, all purpose | | | 2 | teaspoon | baking powder | | | 1/2 | teaspoon | salt | | | 1/2 | teaspoon | cinnamon, ground | | | 2 | each | bananas, ripe, quartered | | | 2 | each | eggs | | | 2/3 | cup | sugar, brown, firmly packed | | | 6 | tablespoon | butter, melted | | | 1 | teaspoon | vanilla | | | 1 | cup | blueberries, fresh | | | | | | | | | | TOPPING | | | 1/4 | cup | sugar, granulated | | | 1 | teaspoon | lemon, rind, grated | | | | | |
Directions:
| Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Lightly grease twelve 2 1/2 inch muffin cups. Combine flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon on sheet of waxed paper.
Beat bananas in large bowl with electric mixer until mashed. Add eggs, brown sugar, butter, and vanilla, beating until blended. Stir in combined dry ingredients with a wooden spoon until almost blended. Stir in blueberries just until combined. Spoon into prepared muffin cups, dividing batter equally.
Prepare Topping: Combine sugar and lemon rind in small dish. Sprinkle evenly over muffins.
Bake in preheated oven for 20 to 22 minutes or until golden. Remove muffins from pan to wire rack. Serve hot.
Makes 12 muffins.

Disgusting bathroom
DESCRIPTION: Stopped in on my way home,to order a coffee and use the restroom. I couldn't even do that! The bathroom was in a implorable condition, it was filthy and had a pungent urine smell. There wasn't any soap to wash your hands. I wasn't about to order anything after seeing that. If I couldn't wash my hands, neither could the employee that would have wait on me.

The Corned Beef Melts In Your Mouth
DESCRIPTION: I had a hot corned beef sandwich and it was if I was eating in NY. I lived in New York City for a while and they have the corner on classic authentic deli style sandwiches. New York, New York has captured it. The mustard on the sandwich was a classic NY style. The pickles I had both sour and 1/2 sour were excellent. What a wonderful addition to Bloomfield. I'm glad they are here. Highly recommend.
