Can Tom Cook? Yes, He Can!
DESCRIPTION: Thirty sixth-graders from Framingham Community Charter School visited Tom Can Cook Restaurant to learn about rice dishes from Asian countries. Little did they know that this dining experience would be a great one. A cornucopia of tasty dishes were prepared especially for our group and served buffet style. Our group particularly enjoyed the yaki soba which was exquisitely prepared with beef, vegetables and rice noodles. Service was five-star: our glasses were constantly full and the proprietor gave us an enriching introduction to the food. As soon as the dishes were emptied, they were instantly full again. The restaurant was relaxing and comfortable. This is definitely a restaurant to consider the next time you eat out.

Problem with Delivery
DESCRIPTION: I'm located 10 min from Tom Can Cook but they won't deliver to my place 'cause my town is not on delivery list. I don't always have time to go out and would love to order in from Tom's but they'd rather lose the business than change the rules.

Tom CAN'T cook!
DESCRIPTION: My experience at Toms' was horrible. Not only was the service horrible, and the food disgusting, but there was a live bird hopping around the dining area!

Hole in the Wall

This Is the Best Chinese I've Ever Had
DESCRIPTION: I don't know where Joel usually eats, but I've never been disappointed by New Asia. I've never eaten in the restaurant; we normally have takeout, but the food is always fresh. Fresh real ingredients and always delicious. If you want great Chinese, don't let the ambiance fool you. This place has the best food. You won't be disappointed.

Sometimes Great, Sometimes Bad
DESCRIPTION: New Asia has some tasty dinner specials and you get a lot for the money. But I'd have to say they're inconsistent. My long time favorite had been Basil Pork. But New Asia has a tendency to use ingredients even after they've passed their prime. Once the basil leaves were slimy the way bad lettuce gets. The last time I ordered that dish, the pork was just rancid. I can see how they keep their food so cheap. After the pork incident, I haven't been back. it's too bad. Because when that dish was good, it was really good.

Nice Atmosphere for a Meal
DESCRIPTION: A delightful atmosphere Mango Grill has. Dine in for dinner is even better; with the soothing lighting and booth seat, it is a really good place for a couple to hang out. All foods prepared in a good hand, with good presentation. Smell is just nice, and taste is superb.

Simply Amazing
DESCRIPTION: Mango Grill is located in Ayer (Rt. 2A), about a minute away from Ayer rotary. As the name suggests, Mango Grill is the place to experience lots of grill dishes with exotic Asian flavors and sweet mango. Its cozy atmosphere and modern decor makes it the perfect place to enjoy authentic Chinese dishes in all occasions. Dishes are expertly prepared, and service is prompt and attentive. I have been going there with friends and family almost every month since they opened.

Horrible Service
DESCRIPTION: A recent dining experience at Maxwell s 148 in Natick, MA, turned out to be a truly memorable one, but for the wrong reasons. It was bad enough that our waiter seemed more intent on turning our table for the next group of customers than on making us feel relaxed and satisfied. But when my wife told the waiter that she didn t care for her entr e, the establishment s owner proceeded to take her to task for her assessment along with berating her for not having said something sooner. One has the right to expect a whole lot more from a very pricey, upscale restaurant than we got in return for our patronage. Which is to say that it takes more than good food and ambience to attract and sustain a loyal following. Good manners and treating one s customers with respect are essential as well.

Excellent Service
DESCRIPTION: After reading the most recent Maxwell's 148 review I was hesitant to dine there. I figured I'd give it a try since I am always in the area, and I am so glad I did. The service was fantastic. The owner greeted us at the door and checked back with us several times throughout our meal to ensure everything was satisfactory. The waiter was knowledgable, personable and attentive. The food was wonderful, especially the short ribs and the filet. We enjoyed the apple egg rolls which were crispy on the outside and warm and flavorful on the inside. We had a wonderful dining experience at Maxwell's and would highly recommend it.

Gem in the neighborhood
DESCRIPTION: All food is vegetarian with no MSG. It leaves no greasy and dry aftertaste. Food is inexpensive, but over all enjoyable, with some exceptional dishes. The dessert tarts are amazing: no sugar and no milk, totally vegetarian and healthy. You have to try it to believe it.

The Best Chinese Food in the Area
DESCRIPTION: I've been to *all* of the Chinese restaurants in the area. The Great Wall is consistently the best. All of the main courses are well prepared and tasty. They will vary spiciness to suit your taste. There is Mandarin dim-sum on Saturday and Sunday afternoons. Only thing they just can't seem to do right is Hot and Sour soup. I usually judge a place by the H&S soup, but that test isn't accurate in this case.

Worth the Drive

Was a Fan, but...
DESCRIPTION: I was a huge fan of this restaurant and went there once a week or so. Most of the dishes were excellent, they have a good buffet and dim sum (Mandarin style) on the weekend afternoons. But the beef dishes are terrible. I tried several and wound up with one that was inedible. I talk to the management and even reminded them on my next order and it was still terrible. The family demanded we stop going there. BTW: Terrible Hot and Sour soup.

Hit or Miss
DESCRIPTION: My family has been going to the Great Wall religiously since it opened over 10 years ago. Used to be the best in the area, but the past few years the quality of the food has gone downhill. Takeout is usually warm when it arrives for pick up and extra-greasy. The service and atmonsphere is wonderful, but lately the food is mediocre. It's definitely a hit or miss, although the buffet's not bad.
