DESCRIPTION: This Lazy Fisherman restaurant is the #2 location. The first opened over 11 years ago in Bixby, Oklahoma. American family owned and operated by the Churchills: Mack, Heidi, Ron and Sharon along with Kassie Mae ( age 5- Manager in training). Visit the website: thelazyfisherman.com Glenpool serves beer and is non smoking....otherwise the menus are virtually the same. Exception: Glenpool does offer the Cajun Boilin Pot dinner which Bixby doesn't. Both restaurants have wooden, almost picnic like tables and booths along with some tables and chairs. Orders are prepared fresh and hot. Homemade pies: Ron just started making peanut butter cream topped with fresh whipped topping! Special order pies and cobblers with 24 hours notice!

Big Disappointment
DESCRIPTION: Only kind of fish they have is cat fish, they do serve shrimp. Very pricey, would rather go to Captain D's.

Oklahoma's Best Burger
DESCRIPTION: The Meersburger (and Meerscheeseburger) are arguably the best burgers you'll ever eat, made from lean Texas Longhorn beef from their own herd, free from antibiotics, pesticides and growth hormones, freshly ground, cooked to order, and served old fashioned. Other menu fare including steaks, barbecue, and home-baked bread is best described as "down home" cooking, excellently prepared and served in ample quantities. The service is great, and the staff is always friendly if perhaps a bit overwhelmed during rush periods that seem to happen often. One bit of advice is to get there early, as the location just north of the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge means there's almost always a waiting line, especially on summer weekends. The restaurant itself is located in one side of a historic mining camp store building dating from 1901 that was moved to its present Meers (population six people, eight cats and a dog) location in 1925. The decor of each section is original from the time it was added - the walls are festooned with historic photographs of people who have visited and eaten here since 1901, and almost all the remaining open space not decorated with antiques is covered with the business cards of past diners and visitors.
