DESCRIPTION: Have been vacatoning at Gulf Shores for over 20 years and Sea n Suds is still one of our favorites. The steamed shrimp is great, along with fried crab claws. Good burgers at lunch too.

Best Food Ever
DESCRIPTION: The ambiance at this restaurant is the absolute best. As the classics of Shakespeare surround you on the wall, one gets the feeling that this is no ordinary restaurant. And indeed it is not. The service is impeccable, the wine selection supreme, and even the menu matches the theme of the restaurant (all of the titles of the dishes come from Shakespeare). The best part is the food. You can not get a better steak anywhere. The Salmon Caliban will rock your face off and totellini in cream sauce will make any child want to eat broccoli and cauliflower every day of the week. Save room though because the desserts are unmitigated deliciousness. The creme brulee cheesecake -- I dont even know how to describe it. Just get it.

DESCRIPTION: What gets me through January in Vermont without Prozac is the anticipation of a Globe grilled cheese, a Heineken with a side of chili and a dollop of sour cream on top. Fifth winter in Tuscaloosa begins next week.

Not fair to children
DESCRIPTION: I went to The Globe with a school group and tried to explain that most of the children did not have a lot of money and that each child was paying individually. The hostess told me that the 18% gratuity would still apply due to the group size. Although most of the group was actually divided into smaller groups, we were told that it did not matter. Each child would be charged 18% gratuity. Due to this fact, the restuarant turned down 20 paying customers who would have been happy to pay at least 10% gratuity and eat a good lunch. Instead we ate a great lunch somewhere else at a much more reasonable price and much friendlier atmosphere for our group.

Happy 65th Birthday, Yeah Right
DESCRIPTION: 18 April 2004. An hour drive from my home but my choice of restaurant to have my birthday dinner turned into a unpleasant experience. I asked for the broiled catfish dinner but being on the Atkins diet I did not want the potato so I asked for a salad instead. Answer: we dont substitute. That was fine with me but I do want a salad and please do not bring out a potato that will just be thrown away. I asked to speak to a manager to clarify my request. The manager would not take the time to see me and told the waiter to substitute this time but "Do not expect this to happen next time you come in". I never asked for a substitute I simply said it was foolish to bring a potato that will be trashed. As for the next time I come drive to Guntrville is going to be as long as it takes for a 65 year old to forget about the lousy hospitality. Happy birthday to you too. P.S. Two Thumbs Up
DESCRIPTION: First time in Guntersville and first trip to Top O The River but I'm ready to go back just for the catfish. I've been eating catfish up and down the Tennessee River for the better part of 50 years and this was absolutely the best yet. Crisp, not at all greasy, no "fishy" taste, great views with good service. At $8.99, the Riverboat Special is a steal for both the quantity and quality of the food. DESCRIPTION: Service was great. Atmosphere was excellent. Location is perfect. Fried shrimp were scarce. Stuffed crab was undercooked. Hushpuppies were too large and doughy in the middle. No Splenda or Equal on the table. I ve always heard that the food in Anniston was excellent. That was not the case in Guntersville. Just my opinion based on one visit, they may improve over time. Very Bad Experience
DESCRIPTION: I too drove the distance for what I thought was going to be a good meal as well as a pleasant dining experience. Boy was I wrong. The food was substandard, and the manager should be an order taker at Burger King. I asked to see the manager and was told, "He is trying to run a restaurant and doesn't have time to talk to you." I will never send anyone their way, and I certainly won't ever return. I can have fish sticks and fries at home and be treated with respect.

DESCRIPTION: We had a family Christmas get together at the Guntersville Top O The River with 17 people.Our waitress name was Brandi,and she kept everything going beautiful with all of our group.Wonderful job Brandi,and great food too!!We drive from Huntsville to eat there.
