Worst Dining Experience of My Life!
DESCRIPTION: The food was pretty good, but no one should have to put up with the service. Not only did they forget our reservation, make us wait for almost an hour, only have a table for two even though we were three, the owner/waitress then came over to scold us in front of everyone because of our "attitude". She went as far to call us racist! Whatever. This lady is just crazy, and the fact that she told us she was too successful to have to put up with us is just going too far. Fight back Boston...don't settle for this kind of crap!

Beg to differ
DESCRIPTION: Quite the opposite experience. The food was not bad at all, and we understood going in beforehand that service was going to be slow with only one chef and one server, but a fast food restaurant or kebab stand this is not. This is the sort of place where you bring a bottle of wine, you enjoy the quaint atmopshere, and enjoy the textures and tastes of something very different.

In Heaven at Baraka
DESCRIPTION: Baraka is the best dining experience in the Boston area. Now that I have eaten there, nothing else compares. The appetizers are so good, I dream of them at home. Bedenjal Mechoui... is intoxicating. The cous-cous and vegetable dishes are just enough to fill you and leave you feeling light and happy, not like a the average oversized portion at American restaurants that leave you feeling like a pig leaving the trough! The atmosphere is congenial, and the chef often comes out to recommend what is great on the menu that night. I personally think the waitress is fun and friendly, she often has a snide sense of humor, but that makes it even more fun. So, if you can leave your haughty attitude at home, and want to eat excellent fare at cut rate prices, try Baraka. And I always stop for a drink at the local pubs around the corner if there is a long wait.

Great Food Indeed!
DESCRIPTION: The food is fantastic and truly Algerian. As a native of Algeria, I have to say Chef Karim does an authentic job. For the true experience, stick with the traditional food such as the Couscouses and avoid the westernized dishes. Wine is not served, though you may bring your own. Frankly, it's not a must for true enjoyment. If you want to have the Algerian restaurant experience, then go to Baraka.

My Favorite Restaurant
DESCRIPTION: This is the place I bring my dates. The atmosphere is very relaxed and exotic; the service full of character and never 'fake'; the food just amazing, with all the different flavors; and the best thing to end a meal is the delicious chocolate tarte.

Flavors gallore
DESCRIPTION: Saying "bad service" is not accurate. The service was EXCELLENT....it just took a long time to get our food because it is prepared with such detail and attention to interesting combinations of flavors. The most unique choices I've had in a long time.

Enjoyable Dining

Trying hard to be European
DESCRIPTION: The Euro-pretension, complete with occasionaly snobbishness, is annoying, but the food is quite good. Many creative, interesting small dishes make it a very pleasing meal. In summer, you can sit on the sidewalk -- just like the Europeans do!

Cafe Felix is my favorite place
DESCRIPTION: Cafe Felix was my favorite place to go when I lived in Ann Arbor- and now that I don't, I look forward to going there for a nice cup of coffee, omelette or a Martini and dinner! This place is THE place to go if you are 20-35...great people watching, beautiful atmosphere and the best out-of-college patio in Ann Arbor. A+++

Best Cafe in Town
DESCRIPTION: Pleasant ambiance. Yes, it tries hard to be European, but it works. I'd guess that over half the clientele are European. It gets noisy on Friday nights with a live band, but the other nights are chill, with great desert and drink options.

Nice atmosphere but bad food
DESCRIPTION: It's got a great location - right in the middle of main street. It's got a great French-American menu. However, the execution falls far short of its potential. The Croque Monsieur was not even close to its name-sake - indeed, it was a plain ham & cheese sandwich. The bread was stale. The ham wasn't top quality. The cheese wasn't gruyere. Very disappointing.

Took a ride to the diffrent side
DESCRIPTION: Well, okay. This restaurant was located on eat street of Minneapolis (Nicollet Ave). A friend and I decided to try this East African dishes. We walked in, the owner greeted us, which was quite intresting, and actually had suggested several plates after first asking our taste and if we were vegeterians or so on. Then he recommended different dishes for both of us. Well, the food was really amazing; something totally different than ever. It is not really like the wild "African" that I had in mind. Very well authentic I believe; it's mostly Someli with Italian and African influence on it. I had a dish called Ke'Ke which is my favorite now. It is homemade noodles with chicken curry. I'm craving for it now.

Excellent Food at a Good Price
DESCRIPTION: We eat at Kush regularly and enjoy the food tremendously. They recently put out a new, larger menu and we are working our way through it. In terms of the service: always pleasant and charming but not particularly fast. Sometimes when it's busy the staff seem overwhelmed. Go when you want a relaxed pace. The restaurant is small and nicely done for a neighborhood cafe.

Excellent Chinese
DESCRIPTION: This restaurant is decorated with reviews of the restaurant from various local magazines and newspapers. They have been listed as one of the best Chinese restaurants in metro Atlanta several times, and as best Chinese in Cobb County several times. Generally crowded on weekend evenings, but a table can be had fairly quickly on a weeknight - sometimes without a wait.

DESCRIPTION: Some friends and I recently had dinner at Manny's Beachside. My friend ordered the Greek Salad (which I wouldn't recommend) and decided she didn't like it and wanted to send it back. We politely asked the waitress if she would take it back and let her order something else. She forcefully asked us what exactly was wrong with the salad in a harsh tone. When my friend said she didn't like it, the waitress continued to rudely badger her about it. Finally she left and took the salad with her. Next, she wouldn't split up our checks so we could pay separately, since none of us had small enough bills to split the bill evenly. I called the manager over and he annoyedly gave us change and we paid the bill which came to about 30 dollars and we left a pretty lousy tip. The waitress mocked us and followed us out the door saying "Yea. Yea. Have a GREAT night," in a rude manner and then called my friend a "little ****". I was outraged. Not only had we had poor service and food that was certainly NOT worth 30 dollars but we were then degraded and called names. I immediately went to speak to the manager but he wouldn't do anything but "have a talk with her after her shift." All I asked for was my money back for the poor meal and the disgusting way that we were treated. He wouldn't compensate me for anything. He said that we don't pay for the service, we pay for the food. When going out to dinner, I pay for the service and atomosphere AS WELL AS the food. And I can tell you that even the food wasn't worth what we paid.

Good Pizza
DESCRIPTION: They have remodeled and it's alot nicer now. The pizza is 100% better and they have a game area for kids. We had no problem w/ the service. Maybe it's under new management now. We had been here a year ago and it was terrible and the food not great but it has definatly changed since the last time we where there. Our greek salad was good and the pizza was alot better than others I've had. Our kids had fun.

BEST VALUE IN A LONG TIME
DESCRIPTION: There on sat night 2-21-04 had the grilled portabella mushroom for an app which was very good. My husband had a shrimp cocktail which he said was cooked just right. We order a bottle from their wine list MacMurry pinot noir $26.00 I think. I had the crab cakes which I LOVED,my husband had the johnny apples steak sizzler, which he loved, and the best part the dessert menu was fantastic. I will be back soon

Birthday Dinner
DESCRIPTION: We set out to Johnny Apples for a birthday dinner. We arrived and were seated near the fireplace. We ordered the crab in a puff pastry which came out barley warm and dry. I ordered the scallops in a brandy cream sauce, again this can out luke warm and my vegetables were cold. My daughter ordered the filet which again was serverd warm, although tasty her garlic mashed potatoes and vegetables were cold to touch. Her friend ordered the chicken parm. which came out piping hot and was very good. She could not finish her dish and requested to have it wrapped. The waitress discarded the dish forgetting our request. We ordered a bottle of red wine. This came to the table ice cold. Although after waiting almost an hour for it to warm up, it was a nice bottle of wine. The ambiance was nice although in general the restaurant was cold (and we sat next to the fireplace). Overall it was a disaster and I would not recommend having dinner here. We were dissapointed.

DESCRIPTION: Johnny Apples is one of the best places i have ever ate at.................... the atmosphere was warm and friendly and it seem like everyone there was having a great time........... i personally met the owner and she was so nice.......... but the best part was the food, i had the shrimp scampi and enjoyed it so much, My kids had french fries and chicken tenders and they were really good. I advise you go there, and i will be going back soon.
