Guest Blogger(s) Wanted, Apply Within

UPDATE Mar 19, 2006: This post is drawing in an unusual amount of search engine traffic, so I felt an update was in order.

I am still willing to take applications for guest bloggers, however I must request that you have extensive blogging experience, or at least be knowledgeable about blogging and/or the blogosphere. Blogging and the blogosphere are the two main topics covered on this blog. If you feel you would be a good match as a guest blogger, then please feel free to fill out the contact form at the end of this post.

ORIGINAL POST CONTINUES, BELOW:

As I mentioned in a previous post, I will be out of town beginning the day after Christmas, through January 16th, visiting my girlfriend in central Georgia. Unfortunately, she has extremely low speed Internet access, and I will not be able to have my normal amount of surfing and blogging.  I hope to pre-blog some posts (especially the amateur blogging series), and make a few posts while I’m there (going to the local library, or dealing with the slow speeds), but I may not be able to hold to the same amount of blogging as I have been.

Thusly, I am seeking individuals to fill guest blogger positions, when I am gone. Applicants should be at least somewhat familiar with what I write about, here (blogging, news, politics, ad systems, promotion, etc…), or at least be passionate about some chosen subject. Applicants should also be familiar with the WordPress blogging platform. If you are not familiar with WordPress, but have an outside blogging editor (w.bloggar, ecto, qumana), you’ll be fine. Those not familiar with WordPress are welcome to apply, as well, provide they are familiar with some sort of blogging system.

Guest bloggers do NOT have to have the same opinions, politics, or beliefs as I do; in fact, I encourage alternate points of view. You are required to abide by some standards, though. You should be fluent in English, able to write reasonably well (you should be able to get your point across), and familiar with your chosen subject matter. Guest bloggers will be responsible for a certain number of posts, spaced out between December 26th and January 16th. I’m not an iron-fisted ruler, missing a few here, or there, is fine.

All guest bloggers will be allowed to link to their blog/website on each and every post made, here. Guest bloggers are allowed to post on any subject, although individuals who are posting on the same general subjects as this blog will be considered, first. As an added incentive, guest bloggers will be able to place Adgenta (Qumana), Amazon Associates, CJ, and Zoundry affiliate ads/links within their posts, using their own IDs.

I welcome any and all applications. Below (click the “read more” link), you will find a contact form. Simply fill out your information and in the comments section include your name, blog name, and whether or not you are familiar with WordPress. Then, tell me a little about the topics you intend to blog on, as well as a little about yourself. Feel free to ask any questions you have. I’ll converse with each of you, and I will announce the line-up of guest bloggers on December 24th.
